Balancing academics with hands on work and service is the key to successful homeschooling for Janita Pavelka and her family. She has four children and together they have used the Moore Approach which advocates, among other things, delaying formal school learning until the child is between 8-12 years old. How does this work in reality and will your child fall behind? Janita and I will explore these questions and talk about how playing games, reading aloud and volunteering in the community grows responsible children who are well rounded and ready to learn. Join us this Friday afternoon.

Hello I'm Vivienne McNeny, English to the core and I've just put the kettle on so while its boiling let me tell you a little about myself. I was raised in a convent boarding school while my parents diplomatically hosted cocktail parties at foreign Embassies.
