January 31st, 11 – Jake 34

Thank you to everyone who could make it to Jake’s duet concert with Spencer Payne last week. It was a wonderful occasion, not only musically, but because so many good people turned out on a cold night to join us. It was just like a great big family party afterwards. Jacob couldn’t believe that he knew almost every single person that was there and was so grateful for such fabulous support.
How he has the energy to play like that despite the last year and a half beats understanding. He hasn’t stopped since, with 5 or 6 hours of chamber music with two different groups of friends yesterday and lots more rehearsals planned for this week.

There was a really lovely review on the school website  http://www.stedmunds.org.uk/news/id/1121/ which would bring tears to the eyes of anyone who knows him.

Some of you who weren’t able to come last week (or didn’t know about it, sorry) asked for future concert dates so here they are for February:

Feb 13th  3 p.m.          Canterbury Music Club. St Gregory’s, North Holmes Rd, Canterbury.                   Piazzola Tango with Hermione Jones,        sandwiched by other musicians

Feb 18th  6.30 p.m.     Canterbury Cathedral Crypt.                                                                            Piano duets with Spencer Payne. (including some different ones)

Feb 20th  3 p.m.          St Eanswyth’s Church, Folkestone.                                                                   With the Sacconi Quartet and Tom Hancox. Schumann, Bach and Mozart

Feb 23rd  1 p.m.          Hertford College Oxford                                                                                  Cello, Clarinet and piano trios with Hermione Jones and Max Welford.

We’re still searching far and wide for a cure and trying various alternative treatments in the meantime.
We ask you to continue praying or whatever you do for a massive miracle right now.

With love,
Cherry, Jonathan and Jacob
