Dear All,

We have decided to write a quick daily update on Jacob’s condition because it is so hard to keep up with the calls and texts.  Please don’t feel you have to reply. We know and feel the huge quantities of love and positive thought and prayer all around us. Jake had a fairly good night and has not deteriorated overnight.  He is still totally dependent upon the helmet mask which envelops him, but this keeps the oxgen levels high and means that other organs are not suffering. He slept for several hours last night is able to get up to sit in a chair and even had some soup and trifle to eat. So the headline news is no better but no worse.  We will meet the consultant today and get more news.
